Mike Pence and Donald Trump

Mike Pence? Really?

As you have heard by now, Donald Trump just nominated Mike Pence to be his VP. And Mike Pence is the man who fought for and signed the “license to discriminate” law in Indiana.

Mike Pence signed a law that specifically allowed any business owner or employee in Indiana to turn someone away for being gay or transgender—which led to a loss of millions of dollars in the state. And he still stands by his decision today.

And, he is not just extreme on this issue:

  • When he was in Congress he voted to shut down the government in order to defund Planned Parenthood.

  • He also voted to block funding to Katrina victims unless they took the money from Medicare, the National School Lunch program and PBS.
  • He even once compared Obamacare to 9/11!

We remember Mike Pence because of Indiana’s infamous “license to discriminate” law, but the rest of Pennsylvania may not know who he is. We can’t let people believe that Donald Trump chose someone “reasonable” for his ticket. Mike Pence makes the possibility of a Trump presidency even worse! (If that’s possible.)
Equality PA is planning to go door to door this summer and fall to educate voters about the choice in front of them. Can you help us talk to as many voters as possible?

Can you chip in $5 per month from now until the election to help us talk to even more people?

Your $5 per month contribution will make a difference. It cost about $5 in materials and staff to add a voter to the list every day, and according to recent polls this election could be close. A few voters might decide this whole thing.

Chip in $5 per month to make sure that Mike Pence and Donald Trump are not setting up shop in the White House next year.

Thanks for all that you do.
