Transgender Rights Internship

Equality Pennsylvania is looking for a Transgender Rights Intern to join us for the fall (August-December) who has the following qualifications:

-general/beginners ability using computers
-general knowledge of and dedication towards transgender rights
-strong reading and writing skills preferred
-good attitude and is a team player

We strongly encourage transgender, genderqueer, nonbinary, agender identified people, and/or people of color who are interested in gaining professional skills and helping to organize their communities to apply.

The Transgender Rights Intern would be expected to fulfill the following responsibilities:

-Working 15-20 hours a week on a regular schedule for the duration of the internship;
-Recruiting volunteers to participate in Equality Pennsylvania and the Transgender Rights program;
-Collecting postcards;
-Entering event data in VAN;
-Assisting the Transgender Rights Organizer to give transgender-related trainings;
-Training volunteers;
-Helping the Transgender Rights Organizer in other tasks they request.
