Today is Give OUT Day

Give OUT! May 15, 2014For the past few weeks, we have been asking you to pledge to give a donation on today, May 15th, national Give OUT day. Here is why it is so important for us to have the resources we need to do what we do.

Your donations will help to end discrimination against LGBT people in Pennsylvania. Discrimination hurts real people in real ways in our state.

In 1990, Dan Miller was a successful accountant who was on his way to becoming a partner in his firm. After being quoted in news story defending LGBT rights, Dan was suddenly fired from his job. His supervisor admitted that Dan was fired for being gay because it was completely legal to be fired for being gay or transgender in Pennsylvania in 1990–and it still is today. This has gone on long enough.

That’s why we are working to pass a law that would end legal discrimination against LGBT people — and we need your help to do it.

Pledge to give on Give OUT day today and help us end discrimination once and for all in PA.

Thanks for all you do.
