A personal note from Ted Martin

Ted-at-statehouseSeventeen years ago today I did what seemed then to me the unthinkable…I came out. One simple act of honesty changed my life for the better forever and it was a glorious moment. For the tremendous experience that was my coming out I dedicate my energy and work so that all LGBT lives of honesty can be treated equally and with the basic dignity we all deserve. Gay is good and fun and inherent and me.

On this anniversary of my coming out I can’t help but be reflective on the last seventeen years. I never imagined that I would be where I am today, and I am so grateful. I know that many of you can relate to this feeling and I hope that you celebrate it as well.

If I could have anything for my anniversary, it would be to know that we have all the support we need to get to full equality for all LGBT people in Pennsylvania. That’s why I would like to ask you to make a donation to Equailty PA today.

Will you make a donation in honor of my coming out day?

I have dedicated my career to advancing equality for LGBT people, because I want everyone to be treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. Today I want to personally ask for your help because I am sure you agree with me.

Please help me celebrate my anniversary and help Equality PA to do what we need to do to win true equality in Pennsylvania.

Thanks for your support.
