Despite recent victories in states for same-sex couples who want to marry, many lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people and their families live in a state that still needs to update or clarify its laws to include protection from discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. This leaves people vulnerable to being fired from a job, turned away from a business, or evicted from a home just for being gay or transgender. Continue reading.
